Carbonado is a smooth black yarn wrapped in a silver halo. Made with a generous share of true black alpaca — the rarest variety available — this yarn has a beautiful drape and slight shine. Silver Gotland sheep locks create subtle grey streaks and a halo (a slight fuzz around the yarn). The Coopworth cross wool adds body and more complexity to the dark hue. Carbonado is smooth but not silky and suitable for a wide variety of projects.
